I am a language professional. I have over five years of experience working at both local and international companies as a translator and a teacher. Some of the companies I have worked for are Berlitz, Vaughan Systems, BNP Paribas, Acciona and McCann.
My goal is to enable communication, to bridge the gap between cultures and people.
I have had the opportunity of working in 3 different continents. I have learnt every day how to be better, more efficient and innovative.
My colleagues would describe me as analytic, creative and highly responsible. My clients often say I am quite patient and approachable.
I am very happy to say I am an active, lifelong learner in a constant search for new challenges and professional development opportunities.
I am a freelance translator (EN>ES) and also a proofreader and localizer.
I have a Degree in Translation and Interpreting (EN/DE>ES), and a Master's Degree in Translation and New Technologies: Translation of Software and Multimedia Products. I also have a Spanish Professional Proofreading Course.
I have worked for several translation companies translating, editing, proofreading, localizing texts about marketing, website, software, business management and leadership, tourism, education, food, automotive, jewelry, fashion, innovation, medical tests, art and culture, legal and social media, among others.
I am an English philologist whose biggest passions are languages and literature. My fields of expertise go from world's literatures to linguistics and language acquisition. Besides, I've furthered my expertise with an MA in Spanish as foreing language.
I love learning about different cultures and traditions and trying to comprehend them so I can do better translations. Furthermore, as I love reading, I think that the best way to grasp an author's work is being able to read it in its own language. I also think it is important to learn languages because it brings people closer allowing a better understanding between them and that is the reason why I like translating: it builds bridges.
Mainly, my working experience has involved education working as English and Spanish teacher in schools and freelance.
Finally, I would like to obtain working experience as a translator because I would love working in the videogames industry as a linguistic tester because gaming is one of my hobbies.
My name is Cristina Fernández and I am a full-time Spanish translator and proofreader. I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting (University of Salamanca, 2012). I am native in Spanish (EU) and I am fluent in English and French.
I have 6 years of experience, one as an in-house Project Manager for a Spanish Agency (McFelder Translations) and five as a freelancer, working with several agencies as well as direct clients (Booking.com, Amazon.com and others).

Hi! I am a Translation student looking for some real experience. My main goal as a translator is to make the text sound as natural as possible, thus making people believe it was not a translation. I have been working lately as a volunteer translator for Coursera in order to spread free education through the Spanish-speaking world, but have no payed experience to date. Although still in training, I feel confident about my skills thanks to the many different types of translations I have done for my classes (and all the Translation theory I have studied beforehand).
I am an avid reader with a C1 in English by Cambridge and a working knowledge of French and German.
I am very interested too in science, history, art and similar disciplines, and translating something interesting makes it all the better.
