Hello, my name is Nina, I'm Brazilian, I lived on Chicago for 5 years, and graduated by UNIP College In Brazil ( Letters English/Portuguese). Along the years I improved my writing skills working full time on jobs which are directly connected to it. I have over 7 years of experience in – Translation English to Portuguese; Portuguese to English; Spanish to English; Italian to English; Spanish to Portuguese, French to English, and Italian to Portuguese. I’m also skilled in:
– Advertorial Writing
– Social Media Management
– Keyword researching
– writing fiction stories;
– creating articles;
– Write e-books or ghostwriting for any topic, for commercial or informal subjects;
– Reviewing and proofreading content.
My experience as a translator ranges from technical documents to entertainment texts. I am a Law Bachelor and I have worked as a tax advisor, writing and proofreading documents in both English and Portuguese as daily jobs. I worked also on the Brazilian localization of EA’s FIFA 18 and Need for Speed Payback. My job was to ensure all texts and audio were properly translated for the Brazilian market, checking if these assets were correctly implemented in-game and that they fitted the game style and natural flow of the language. Such experience lit my desire of building bridges between different cultures and breaking down the language barriers between them. In my case, Portuguese is spoken by more than 255 million people, of which 210 million are Brazilians alone. However, the majority of the lusophone population has no understanding of the English language, and English speakers too have generally no knowledge of Portuguese. This is an obstacle I want to help undo.
I've worked with translations of documents and academic papers. Today, I still do them and rewiews of texts and essays both in Portuguese and English, translation and transcription of English audios, and digital subtitle of movies/series too. I always work within the deadline and, I have a personal contract of labor that helps both sides. I'm working on a third language so, soon enough, I hope to upgrade my profile here.
Experience with translation and proofreading in technical, legal, commercial segments, but mainly in the pharmaceutical industry (protocols, brochures, compliance reports, GLP, CIOMS, certificates, among others), extensive knowledge of its terminology and technical aspects, standards and guidelines. I am always searching for improvement in the translation fields, attending congresses, lectures, and working with researches and glossaries elaboration.
Experiência com tradução e revisão na área técnica, jurídica, comercial, mas principalmente na área da indústria farmacêutica (protocolos, brochuras, relatórios de conformidade, BPL, CIOMS, certificados, entre outros), amplo conhecimento de sua terminologia e aspectos técnicos, normas e diretrizes. Estou sempre em busca de aperfeiçoamento na área da tradução em geral, participando de congressos, palestras e trabalhando com pesquisas e elaboração de glossários.

I am both a Business Management and a Social Communication Bachelor, which I believe is a great advantage for understanding the corporative universe and advertisement industry. For that reason, I have knowledge of the specific vocabulary involving management, HR, finance, marketing, advertisement and so on. Besides that, I teach English to lawyers, accountants, admen and managers in Brazil as a private teacher, not only having to prepare specific classes, but also having to edit and proofread their emails and reports. Additionally, I have translated hospitality information and tour guides for a travel company. Given the growing exchange between countries, it is fundamental that services and products are accessible to an ever-wider number of people. I am interested in making all kinds of media more accessible to the general public, especially in places like Brazil, where few people speak English, although it is a widely spoken language.
